How Many Bras Do You Really Need?

Writer: Michele Bourque, Ottawa Bra ClinicMichele Bourque, Ottawa Bra Clinic

If you’ve ever wondered, “Do I have too many bras?” or “Not enough?”—you’re not alone.

The truth is, there’s no magic number, but here’s a handy guide to get you started.

For everyday wear, aim for 2 comfortable bras: one in beige, one in black (this will give you the option of having one to wear, one to wash).

If you are active, you can add another bra for sports (or two if you are really active and workout a lot).

Tips:

  • Be sure to wash your bras by hand and they will last longer. And never ever put them in the dryer.

  • A typical bra should be replaced every year.

  • Rotating bras makes you appreciate the feel of a fresh clean bra.
